Hey people,
I was just wondering which bikes have bean cans. I'm going to be looking at a couple of late 80's junked K bikes, and was just wondering it's it's worth the time to tear into the engine for one.

The K series bikes have 3 or four cylinder engines, I don't think they have the airhead style ignition bean cans .
I just went to RealOEM.com, did a search for K100 and K75 ignition illustrations and don't bother, not even close to what an airhead bike has .

Thanks Bob. I was looking for 4 piston Brembo calipers anyway. Just thought I'd ask in case there was anything interesting and usable I could tear off while I was over there.
Thanks!

All type 247 airheads from 79 onwards had bean cans. Points type in 79 - 80 and hall sensor 81 on. As far as I can make out this includes the post 85 models up to the end of airhead production in 95.
R45/R65's (type 248) as above except we had points type bean cans a year earlier in 78.

Hmmm... Well, I'll have my tools. Wonder how far I can get with being yelled out... 8-)
