Does anyone know if a right side brembo caliper from a 1993 R80 RT would fit a 1979 R65 right side disc?
Or any other calipers for that matter?
I currently have a later model square master cylinder ( not sure from what ) do i need a specific size to run 2 calipers?

The standard size from the factory for a twin disc front brake, is a 15 mm .
It's cast in to bottom side of the master cylinder .

Thanks Bob,
So does anyone know if any calipers from other R's would fit a right side front disc?
-
From what I have heard, the calipers are pretty much R65 specific .
-
The R65 does not share it's caliper with other airheads.

I've noticed that my right side Brembo has a shim to reduce the mounting hole diameter. That suggests to me it's borrowed from another application.
As for the master cylinder - it's possible your single caliper model will work just fine with duals. I've used 13s and 14s for duals and they work just fine. The 12mm may be fine also, the problem being excessive lever travel. Doesn't hurt to try it out, as long as the brake clamps before squishing your fingers. :-)

That shim or spacer, is to position the caliper on the rotor .
I've got an '81 R65 with ATE calipers and it too has the spacer/shim .

Thanks chaps, the search continues..............

My spacer is on the outside - a top hat affair. I tried it on the other side between the caliper and fork, but spaced it too far out. So it definitely is a shim to reduce the hole size. It was made for an attachment with larger bolts.
