Lookin' for the breather hose that connects between the crankcase vent "breather" (11151335756)under the starter cover and the airbox where it connects to another hose (11151337257) that lives in the airbox. I cant find this short molded hose pictured anywhere!

Rich, I went through this about 7 years ago, it's not illustrated very well in the parts catalog. The part number that I have on my receipt dated 06/13/2000 is :11-15-1-337-257. This hose goes to the top of the breather housing, and has 2 lips molded into it, and it snaps into the front of the airbox, and a brown plastic 'tee' fitting is inserted into it inside the airbox. What parts site did you use ? Most illustrations show the forward end of the hose horizontal, when in reality it should have a 90 degree bend up, then a 180 degree bend down. Hope this helps out !

Eurika! yes yes, thank you gentlemen that is exactly the bit I so poorly described. Tore mine up doing the spline lube. Bob you're correct that the image (ETK disk and popular on line parts fiche) is not at all what this hose looks like but your description nails it. I think the screwy visual is what put me off the track. Thrang, I'm just amazed that you had a photo handy! I was thinking of taking one myself just to better explain. Bob, I owe ya a cold one for pulling a 7 year old receipt, even more surprising!

This was one of the parts that I had the hardest time finding, it got so bad that the local BMW dealer ( Town and Country Motor-sports, now Victory BMW, Chandler,AZ.) told me not to come back again and 'bother' them about this part, because it obviously was not an original BMW part! I went to Iron Horse BMW in Tucson,AZ., and in 5 minutes my correct part was ordered, and was delivered to my house 2 weeks later. From the time I started looking for this part until I received it was 10 weeks, one of the more memorable parts searches! The parts catalogs have been updated for this part, the original picture showed a little squiggle of a line off to the side, without an item number assigned to it, and the part number was at the bottom of the list, without any description of the part.
