sold my last bike a 1968 Moto Guzzi V7 back in 1979 . I bought a 1986 R65 in 2009 and am enjoying it very much (8,000 km ridden so far)
Best regards John M .

Got some snaps? Post up some photos of your new ride. House Rules state: No photo, the bike doesn't exist.

Hi Monty, I hail from Canada , specifically Toronto but do most of my riding north of Toronto where the roads are better suited to recreational riding. i.e. Caledon,Creemore,Manitoulin, and Owen Sound areas

Welcome aboard! Wow - not to bring up a possibly sore subject - but do you ever wish you still had that V7 Goose?? In nice shape they are fetching top dollar now in my area. They are/were classy bikes.

Welcome aboard John. Sounds like you are riding in my old territory. I used to live in Markham then Ballantrae. I now live on Vancouver Island (Nanaimo) and the riding here is spectacular....but I seem to get back to the Toronto area on my other bike every second year or so.
Do you know any of the people there in the CVMG?

Unfortunately the Guzzi was a restoration project that I purchased 3 months before I bought my first house in 1977 , she was not brought fully back to life by me and money needs forced her sale. I did get to ride her briefly 4 years later when I spotted her back on the road several owners later .

Hi Crossrodes I don,t know anyone with CVMG but have been looking at joining their group . I owned a 1959 velocette viper sport and a 1961 venom clubman when i travelled in the U.K. and Europe in 1972 and 1974 .I still have a soft spot for old British singles though I really appreciate the reliability of my R65
