And THIS is what they looked like BEFORE...Note the sunken exhaust valves.

Note the LHS head has had it's exhust thread cut off! we will get to that latter.

Yes the PO must have had work done as he could not undo the LHS exhust nut, so they cut it off !!!!.
It now has a neat little set up where it all just slots in and is held in by the little allen head screw you can see in the pics above.
The valves had burnt in as far as they could :o so I just got to them in time, the one one the RHS head was just starting to hit the piston recess :D.
I had to remove some of the resulting warped metal from that part of the piston with a scalple :-/.
The piston tops had tons of carbon on them, it was thickest on the bottom of the crowns.
So now I just need the gaskits to arrive from WA and I will be cruzin' 8-).

Shit! I just looked and twonk brain here went and handed over the heads to the shop with the rocker gaskits still on them :P, they came back without them. now when all the other ones come from WA I still wont be able to ride :-/.
So who thinks I'm an idiot, hands up :D ;D.

Hi Joe, I have one new rocker cover gasket here but that wouldn't be much help.
In my experience if you order in the morning (remember that WA are 2 hours behind us) Munich will often have the part to you the next day in a priority mail bag.

Cheers Bruce

I'm happy to post the one I have to you if you want to use it as a pattern to cut another one from some gasket material, I might even have some here as well.
Send me a message if I can help.

Joe,

Who did the heads for you? They look great. I need to work out down the track who will do my LS heads when they come off.

Best wishes,
Paul
