Only squawk now is unplugging tiny pinholes in starboard carb. Hope to have her home in a couple weeks! Was really excited to see her all put together and dressed up!

A red LS with white wheels, is still my favorite R65 .
First saw one on the cover of Rider magazine back in '82, it was sitting in front of a Fokker Dr.1 triplane, aka the Red Baron's airplane .
Got one sitting in the garage, needs about 5-6 days of work to get it out on the road, hopefully I'll get it finished when I'm on vacation .
Vacation starts on October 16, go back to work on November 20 .

It's been an exercise in patience but turning out to be so well worth it! The people who run the shop are very, very nice - Ron and Jill from Judson Cycle in Lake Crystal, MN. Ron showed me the remaining squawk - some micro mini holes on starboard carb are plugged preventing her from idling properly. Hope to pick her up by end of October.
Restoring this bike has been a labor of love. Thanks to many of you from this forum and some other friends I've made through the BMW ON forum.
I could never have imagined making so many new friends with a m/c project!

Ken, beautiful job. Now the benefit of the ride will be yours. And the accomplishment of a product from your own hands. It's been just as pleasing for us sharing and watching this project progress.
Keep us in the loop.

That 65 looks really nice in red!
You can look forward to getting her out on the road and enjoy all that hard work.
Enjoy!
