G'day all, just introducing my R65ls, she was made on the 12/1983.
She is a joy to ride.

And yes she does the dirt as well!

I like the bar end mirrors Sarge. Are those from stock or aftermarket? And, the camo tail bag adds a gnarly touch to your bike. It kind of says, "yes, I'm a man on a mission, but don't mess with me either." 8-)

Those bags need straps for security too just like the classic BMW bags?!
Having one of those pop open on the road would sure dampen the "cool" factor!

Welcome... great bike! I see your ADV sticker! I just got mine in the mail this week...
-
Welcome!. I swear, per capita, Australia must have the highest R65 density in the world!
I may go completely opposite and paint mine matte black... [smiley=evil.gif]

Justin, I think you may well be correct. I have just been on Oz fleabay and the number of items from Germany is staggering. Tends to make me think that there are a lot of Aussies out there logging onto German ebay looking for 'stuff'.

what a gorgeous bike, that is. Very, very nice. I also like the rough look that bag give the bike

Sergeant Joe, I'm reporting for duty! If all the Taz dirt roads are groomed as well as the one your 65's sitting on... I'm going to score a GS and get after 'em.
Check out the pic, guys. No traffic and that road appears to twist up into the hills.
On the gas, crossed up with the bars full lock, roosting dirt... Nirvana. [smiley=clap.gif]

All the roads here are made for BMW's, dirt or tar ;D.
The camo bag on the back is straped on real good, and the clips are made to withstand freefall from a C-130, so the modest speeds I do wont make em pop open.
Thank you for the positive feedback guys ;).

oops, mirrors are not stock, they came from a bike wreckers.
