I had one of these attached to my bike just behind the horn when I got it two years ago.  I had no idea what it was for (still don't) but the wires coming out if it were cut and I figured it was non-functional, so I removed it.  I'm pretty sure I still have it in the box of junk I pulled off for the initial clean-up.

There's one on ebay now for a Buy it Now price of couple hundred.  Curious to know if I can use it.

Looks almost like a little Roundel speaker, doesn't it?
And it apparently doesn't affect the functionality of the bike? :-/

I have no clue really, but see if you can put yours on Ebay and get $200 too!  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

 I checked the part # 65752315540 on Max BMW and it appears to be part of an alarm system of all things!  Believe me, when I picked up my bike, the last thing in the world it needed was an alarm system.

It seems like all the bikes it's listed for are much newer than my Old '82.

Man, that ought to be worth at least $500 to the Ebayers!!
