Title: fork tube size?

what size are the fork tubes? 35mm or 36mm? or what size clip on bars should i get and or fork clamp for a steering dampener? thanks!

I measure 35.93 mm on a a 1984...

I got 36 on my vernier caliper without my 'old man' glasses on...

i had gotten different sizes starting smaller at the top tree and getting a little larger till about a inch below the bottom tree and then in was 36mm. at the top tree is was 35.45mm? :-?

i checked with different calipers also? wondering if maybe the water i was drinking wasnt water
