Title: Wheel Bearing Seals

I've got a spare front snowflake rim, and I'm going to remove the bearings and learn how to shim them , my first question is : what is the best way to remove the grease seal from the rim ? It looks like you just pry it out with a thin piece of metal. But I don't want to get off to a wrong start on this.

Big flat blade screwdriver works for me.

Yeah, I bet Snap-On even has a REAL expensive one, too.  But a BFS works fine and I've used one for 30+ years...

But, if it helps to sooth your lust for tools, knock yourself out!  ;)  That's the nice thing about changing careers, over the past two months I have spent $983 on e-Bay for TOOLS!  ;D A rough estimate of the cost if I would have had to buy all of these new would be in the neighborhood of $5k...   :o

Well yes. A BFS will werk and any tool is a hammer in an emergency. but I'm forced to admit it. I am a tool junkie and an $8 seal remover is a quick high. Now where can I find a pneumatically powered bearing greasing tool to go with it?
