Title: R65LS, Rear Brake Question...
Post by: its_only_me on March 27, 2007, 04:32:33 PM
So why exactly does the 65LS have different rear brake shoes than other R65's?

and does this mean you can't use another type of hub (as in spoked wheels)

I think the diameter of the brake drum of the LS is larger than the standard R65, so the brake shoes are larger or thicker than those for a standard R65. I did a check of part numbers for the final drive assembly, and they are the same for the LS and standard model. Sometime maybe one of us that has their LS rear wheel off, take a measurement of the drum, and then we could compare it to one of the more common standard models.
