After many miles (45K) I finally found out how to fix the annoying sticky clutch I was experiencing.
Inside the arm operating the clutch there is a needle bearing rotating around a steel sleeve where the retaining bolt goes in.
I found my sleeve to have little scoring matching the needle bearing, hence the stickiness.
I polished it on wire steel wheel, repacked with some grease.
Hopefully it 'will do the trick for awhile until replacement is due. [smiley=bmw_smiley.gif] :) :) :)

This is called the throwout bearing service which should be done everytime you do the infamous spline lube.
You have done a spline lube right? :o

I try to spline lube once a year, this winter when I get to it I'm planning on replacing the throw out bearing with a new one.
Test rode it yesterday and it seems much better now.
How much do you tighten the bolt securing the clutch lever? I just go by feel, not too tight, just snug.
Thank you, Domenico

Up on the handle bars? I guess just snug so it doesn't pinch the handle and keep it from moving I guess.
