Enough, already!  The trusty Sun timing light, all shiny chromed and heavy, is going into l-o-n-g term storage. Just ordered up a new Actron timing light that has a focused Fresnel lens in front of its xenon flash tube. Saw one of these working and it throws a directed beam that will shine way down into the Beemers timing hole... in daylight yet!

Amazon.com is the place. List price is $102.99. Sells for $52.99, no shipping, no tax. Also no more closing the overhead door and gassing myself while doing a tune up in the dark.

Hold on there Tonto!  Did you check your local Harbor Freight?  I bought a great one for about $25 that works good in the garage with an open door.  You could always use that extra $25 to show your bride a night on the town or maybe even to buy Justin a few bags of sand.  I think he needs some.  [smiley=deal2.gif]

Hey whats that knobby thing on the back?  I think I want one....

My old Sears timing light must be 30 years old.  Can't see it in daylight too.  Don't have garage door.

Did the HB check out. I don't know if their product has the life span I look for in this type of instrument. Talking several decades for the fish-eye Sun. Plus, it still works as it did when new... just not the latest technology.

So, I have a light that "works good." I'm wanting a timing light that works great. Plus, I have a few other Actron products that are known-quality performers.

The little knob aids in checking timing advance settings, I think. I'll know more when the unit arrives this Friday.
