Title: Oil pressure switch alternate BECK ARNLEY 201-1303
Post by: billygoat on July 16, 2009, 03:51:13 PM
I finally figured out a usable oil switch for out Airheads. Beck Arnley-201-1303. The threads are 1.5mm and IT DOESN'T LEAK!!!
May be able to order for cheaper at your local auto parts store.
Look for one for a 1970's BMW 2002 or 1987 BMW 528e. The one listed on the alt parts list has 1mm threads which are too fine.

I got a Neihoff switch at a local auto parts store when I was in a pinch - for a mid 80s BMW car.  Funny thing, though, the sub was actually about a buck more than Chicago BMWs price for the OEM switch!  Maybe the Neihoff is better quality, it's about 5 years old and I've not had it leak a drop yet...
