What spark plugs are you guys running in your R65?

Bosch W 225 T 30

Which is now Bosch W 5 D (possibly add R for resistor)

When I picked up mine, W 175 T30, which is now WR7D, for the R45, the guy at the parts counter was kind enough to 'splain the evolution of the Bosch numbering system

It's recommended that you use non-resistor plugs, as the spark plug cap already has 5,000 ohms resistance .

I run NGK BP7ES in both the '81 and '83 R65s.   Monte

I had those NGK in my bike when I got it and really wanted to use bosch
but got lost in the part number trail.

I went ahead and ordered the same NGK's it had because I know it's right but wondered what a common favorite might be?

Ditto for the NGK BP7ES. Seems the most often quoted. Also have used the Autolite 52 with no complaints.

When I search for Bosch w6d (which is obsolete) It's always listed on lawn mower supply sites... someone here said these bikes are almost agricultural...makes me chuckle.

Reminds me of that comic web vid, "Hitler gets a BMW". "If I'd wanted a f***ing farm implement, I would have bought one!"
