I have slight oil seepage coming from the Electronic Ignition Control can that sometimes will drip on to the exhaust header crossbar. This is just an O ring, yes? Are there any sources to purchase this O ring? And am I just getting myself into trouble by wanting to stop this slight leak? I was thinking of tackling it with the next oil change. I don't own a timing light.

It's just a common o-ring, if you mark the 'beancan', and surrounding case with an awl, your timing shouldn't be disturbed.

Cool, so a trip to the local hardware store with the o-ring in hand should do then. Thanks!

I would go to an independent (not one of the chains) auto parts store and get one, preferably one made from viton or another substance that stands up well to oil and high temps.

Is the oil coming from inside the can or running down the outside of the can from the back ?
If it's from the outside a new O ring should work. The O ring does not seal the shaft as it passes through the back of the can. There is some sort of mechanical seal - as far as I can see just a number of thin washers. You would have to punch out the drive pin to get it apart.
I've had a small amount of oil inside the can but it seems to have eased off. Maybe it was crankcase compression before I learn't to run half way up the dipstick.

Harbor Freight offers a metric/viton O-ring assortment with a couple hundred rings in a nice storage box. Catch 'em on sale for around $8.00. Sizes to fix the bean-o can and the leaky rear brake cam shafts plus others.
I overhaul my Chinese copy of a Crossman Co2 rifle every year. Takes half a dozen or so to get the muzzle velocity up to spec. Also offer SAE's.

I've got some of their assortments. For the rear brake cam lever I just ordered a handful of Viton rings in that size.
