Title: Need a fork measurement ?

I'm using a Buell Thunderbolt fork on my R65 project, bolts rite in ! I need to know the measurement from the axle center to top of the lower triple clamp, With the bike off the center stand. Thanks for time

My 1982 R65LS is on the center stand and measures from the top of the lower triple clamp to the center of the Axel bolt 22 & 11/16" Oh wait, you said off the stand. Now I'll have to put my PBR down and call the wifeling to steady the bike, or maybe she should measure. It would vary a bit too wouldn't it? Laden or un-laden and what is the airspeed of an African swallow? Oh measurement, right then, back to the garage. Where did I put that beer?

My R65 rests on the rear tire when on the center stand.

Yea! Another Monty Python fan. But PBR? Wait. A former Northerner, right?

Add to your list of questions: Fuel tank full or empty? Old fork springs or new? I think just getting close to the dimension will be a good starting point for Turbo.
