Title: LS exhaust pipe paint?

Sadly got some sticky stuff on the exhaust, no idea how (I parked it in an urban area so it could be anything and only noticed when it was burning off). So it became crusted on when I tried to get it off it also came with the black paint (is it paint?) Is there anything that can restore the black finish?

Do you have the OEM exhaust? It's supposed to be black chrome. Which in my understanding is a tint. re you seeing shiny chrome?
