I'm involved in engineering projects. Most go unknown to the public and things like factories, power stations, oil rigs etc just continue to quietly function. This one has had it's 'challenges' but I got a small puff of pride in my chest when it opened last week.

I think it's a new European record as longest of it's type, but I've not seen that in writing yet. It looks as the architect wanted it, and lightly resembles one of the many cranes that used to be on the Clyde.
