Happy New Year fellow members !!!!!  :beerchug:
Had an interesting ride to work this morning at 0330 .
Two overturned vehicles with steam coming off the engine area and no one around .
Two obviously impaired drivers luckily in front of me .
One disabled vehicle in a lane of traffic with no lights on in an unlit area .
Looks like different year same old hazards on the road !!!! :D

We had a lorry driver turn up the morning after the last time we played in the World cup Final. Huge artic, cab-over with big Volvo engine, chrome stacks and a traditional air brushed hazy silver blue with horses. He fell out of his cab in a heap, unharmed. He was an old guy and I just assumed he'd lost his footing. Then he gashed his arm putting the straps on - we had first aid and it was bleeding moderately, so I offered to bandage it up for him, he refused (a lot!) and put his coat on instead.

I'ts only after he'd left and arrived safely the other end (some 6 hours later) I realised why those things had happened.  :beerchug: :beerchug: :beerchug: Wasn't expecting it. It's never happened again.

The electricians van full of Tenents Super cans, charged and discharged was a different story  :drowning: Get thee off my site and thou shall not pass again!

Opposite neighbour took out the fire hydrant marker News Years Eve a couple years ago, totalled his car, which he promptly hid in his garage with much winching and cursing. I wondered why his precious motorbikes were outside New Years Day  :ROTFLMAO:

It's been quiet here 2024/2025. High winds, lashing rain and cold generally takes the edge off even hardened party goers  :birthdays: :birthdays: :birthdays: :dizzy2: ;D
