Title: Switch blocks

In the process of putting back together and tidying up a 81 r65,the switch blocks are all scratched and discoloured,is there a secret way to put some new colour into them

I use a local product called MX3 which is a spray lubricant and water dispersant similar to WD-40.  Spray on, leave it on for a while then wipe off. 

Not really what it is designed for but does the trick.  Don't rub or wipe too hard or you may remove the paint.  Mainly used on the panniers and other similar hard plastic items.  Use sparingly as it runs and avoid acrylics.  Can also be wiped on. 

It is really only a temporary measure but puts a bit of juice back into the top layer of the plastic.  But it definitely looks better.
