I have put 170,000 wonderful miles on my 1979 R65. It has a Hannigan fairing, Krauser bags, custom solo seat, fork brace, etc. Most oddly, i have painted it bright yellow for conspicuousness! While not a mechanic I have accumulated a lot of knowledge about this machine and am still in love with it. I use it for day-to-day transportation and a week-long vacation every summer. I will now post at "BMW Technical Q&A, Primarily R65"  a question I hope to get answers to.

I made the photo my "avatar" because the Gallery didn't work for me (no Category to put it in), and I include the photo as an attachment. Since painting it yellow no one has ran into me!

Turns out paint sticks pretty well to that Krauser plastic. Show me a picture of your R65!
