Bought 4 batteries for the bikes a few weeks ago 18 ah .
Buy 4 batteries get free shipping .
All of my bikes use the same size battery .
Went to replace both batteries in my oilhead, found a piece on the bottom of one of the batteries missing .
Got a replacement battery from the seller this week .
Seeing as how it is an AGM type battery, no fluid loss, the fiberglass mat in that cell is just damp with acid .
I had some left over JB Weld, an epoxy product available in the US, that I used to repair the rear fender of my Guzzi .
Got the repair done yesterday on the battery case and will install it on my '82 LS today and see how long it lasts !!!
Manufacturer claims it's chemical resistant, time will tell with battery acid !!

It's strong stuff. It's been holding the blanking plugs where the swirl flaps came out on the inlet manifold of my diesel car for 5 years! Hot, cold, 30 or 40 PSi on/off...Oil, diesel.... 8)

Never tried it with acid but it stands up to gas quite well.

I cut a piece of plastic from a muriatic acid bottle, pool acid and placed it on the glass mat, at least the JB Weld won't be in direct contact with the acid, just exposed to the vapor .
I'm sure the service life of the battery has been reduced, but it was free !!!
