Noticed a few weeks ago that the front and rear shocks on my R1150R were seeping/leaking oil .
82,000 miles on them .
I knew this day would come and it was going to be costly .
After spending hours online searching, found the best price on Ted Porters Beemer Shop site .
Best price I had found in previous searches was around $1800-2000 for front and rear shock .
Got these for just under $1000, YSS brand .

Shocks arrived yesterday and I'll get them installed this weekend .

Bob, I am interested in how you go with the YSS shocks.
I am in need of standard GS length shocks to fit to my GSA (I already have the GS stands).
As I grow older and weaker the GSA is just too tall for Me.

Cost was the reason for YSS shocks .
I use the bike as an everyday commuter to work and an occasional long ride on a day off .
No interesting, challenging roads anywhere near me, just flat land, so I don't need high end shocks .
Got the front shock replaced on Sunday, along with replacing a right fork seal and brake pads on the front .
Didn't have an 8mm allen wrench to remove the lower bolt on the rear, I'll get that done in the next week or two .
If you change a front shock on an oilhead, there are two rubber washers that need to be replaced, mine were hardened, due to 20 years of desert heat .
I'll remove the front shock and replace these washers when I have the front tire replaced later this year .
Rode into work this morning, what a difference the new shock makes and new brake pads .
