 Hello folks! I am the proud owner of a 1980 r65. Being a GL1000 lover I feel a boxer without a radiator ought to be fun. The bike has less than 10,000 miles put on it. It came with a Vetter fairing which I immediately removed. Just ordered some bits and pieces and when I get everything I need will put back together and I think will keep it stock. Hopefully will get some tips in the future as I am completely new to BMW's. Hopefully my pic will come through. The PO had cut the wires near head stock, I ordered a wiring chart and hopefully all will go well. Spring is in the air...safe travels all.
