Title: How would I know if I had a new private message ?

Hello Guys,
On the previous incarnation of our forum, every time you opened up the site, you had a welcome message stating "you have no new private message" or something like that.
Now, I've to open the "My Message" tab to see if there is one new one ? Or else ?

The "My messages" tab shows a "[1]" near it !
