Title: Paint !

So I have a lovely, low mileage LS.   One of the lugs on the LH sidepanel has broken, and the whole thing feels realkly brittle. So I have a pattern panel from Motorworks here in the UK.  I need to paint it.  I really don't know anything about painting plastic!  Any tips/guidance really welcome.  Thanks

I treat the plastic parts just like I do metal.  Sand with 400 grit, apply urethane primer, sand again and apply base coat followed by urethane clear coat.  You should be able to take your side panel to a local automotive paint seller and have them match it up pretty close.  The ones around here use a camera and software that analyzes your sample and spits out a formula.
