Title: Bing 32mm Choke Adjuster Screw - M6x0.75

Hey all,

Been having a right nightmare recently trying to source the correct size carb choke adjustment screw for my 32mm Bing carbs.
I've spoke to Venhill and they have confirmed the thread size on the end of the throttle cables are M6 x 0.75mm (fine)
But do not offer a screw to sell (the pain)

I've transitioned to manual chokes thus the reason why i need the screws on there own, my only solution is to modify a cap head screw to suit.
If anyone knows where i can source these then i will be truly grateful.

Are you speaking of the screw that holds the adjustment Lever to the airbox on the early R65"s ? If so , I would go to the local wrecker and pick one up. Every person who has cafe'd a BMW has that part laying in their junk pile.

I you mean the cable end adjusters that fit into the carb body then Motobins have them although the price seems excessive for something so simple.

Hi Barry,

Price is excessive and even worse when it's the wrong size (M5)
Though they do come with x2 locking nuts, i'm potentially thinking 'clamping' in situ and adjusting if necessary.
I must admit though i might lash something up on a lathe.
