Yesterday I visited the local Artillery and Amour museum. The museum is, quite simply, incredibls and is now one of the biggest such museums in the world.
They have small are set aside where you can buy mementos etc. Most usually parts of tanks too damaged to be used in restoration ( they set themselves high targets and virtually all exhibits are fully operational.
Anyway, this caught my eye, a damaged tyre from a Panzer IV. You can make out who made it.

I watched a TV show a few months back, can't remember the name, and I seem to recall they followed a tank restoration somewhere in Australia. Man, what a job. :o

Bruce Crompton has some interesting vids. Gas torch, big hammers, bigger hammers....
We are lucky to have Bovington Tank Museum and they run things up occasionally. Seeing the welding on the T34 vs the Panzers is a bit of an eye opener. I wouldn't say draft proof let alone bullet proof! I took more pics there than in 2 weeks holiday in Italy :)

Sort of a motorcycle.....Well at least it has handlebars, I give you the Kettenkrad light weight gun tractor. I have seen this in operation on one of the museum's open days, compared to a Jeep it is hard to see the point but it is still an interesting thing.
The third photo is a Churchill WWII flail tank, this thing's job was to trundle along using the flail at the front to detonate mines, at the back it has dual post dispensers to mark the safe trail for following vehicles or infantry. That it did this job whilst under fire from defenders is easily seen in the divots knocked out of it in various places. This particular flail tank is one of only two left in the world and is the only one in operating condition.
