Title: cable lengths.. hi- US bars to lower

I am swaping crazy high bars to lower euro (actually K75s bars.)

Will I need to change clutch and throttle cables? I am planning getting a shorter brake hose...

When I changed from the high US bars on my R65LS to the low, euro bars  (not sure if the K75S bars are as low/short as these, as I actually got the R65LS-Euro spec bar
and not sure what other bikes these were installed on from the factory) I changed the throttle, clutch, and choke cables as well as the upper brake hose.   Of all these, I think that the ones that really did need to be changed were the upper brake hose (original is much too long to fit without multiple, severe kinks) and the clutch cable (again, too long by several inches and you really don't want the clutch cable to be making funky twists and turns and binding up).   The throttle cable I replaced but might have been able to play with where the "splitter" was positioned under the tank to take up the slack a bit.  The choke cable was similar, but due to the lengths of the lower cables going from the splitter to each carb, it didn't have as much "adjustability" and did tend to bind a bit due to the excess cable length.    I changed them all and was much happier, but at minimum I would plan to do the upper brake hose and clutch cable.   If you have the single throttle/choke cable->splitter->individual cables to each carb instead of the dual cable setup from the handlebar down to the carb, it may effect how well these other cables handle the lower bars.  If the bars aren't as low/short as the euro R65 bars are, then you may be fine with the existing throttle and choke lever cables as is.

thank you for that info.. I guess I will have to wait and see the lengths when I get to that part. It is winter up here in the Great White North.. only 3 months till riding season!

Thanks! I asked in another thread and by PM about changing from Euro to high bars...so guess that answers my question in reverse!
Still keen to look at an R65 though as a top box would be so useful....!
