I wobbled up to Yungaburra for Sunday breakfast today, there was a brief break int he rain that has been hanging around for the past week and I managed to get there and back completely dry.
There were some lovely bikes there as usual, but I have not seen this one previously. I went looking for the owner but was unable to find him, I would have loved to find out the bike's history - looking at the photos he has dedicated a lot of time and money in things like Heim joints, bronze bushes (and a lot of chrome).
Some may remember that back int he day I owned one of these things and that I still have nightmares about starting it.......
And the second photo is just hubris on my part - all that care and tiem and it still leaks oil.....

That is a beauty. How effective is the slotted shock mount adjustment?

How effective is the slotted shock mount adjustment?
Not at all, what usually happens is that the bolts come loose and the shocks end up at different angles which places stress on the swing-arm made from cheddar cheese and you end up with "funny" handling. The clever people made up two pieces of strap with two holes in them that provided a positive "lock" on the top shock mount position - fitted behind the nice chrome piece nobody was any the wiser.
