Title: Tour de Yorkshire
Post by: Lucky_Lou on March 30, 2014, 01:25:34 PM
Had a cracking ride out today into the Yorkshire Dales ended up In Patley Bridge the road up past Fewston Reservoir was very entertaining. Seems all the farmers up that way are cashing in on the upcoming tour with endless adverts for camping seems the farmers have a cash cow.

It was actually a very pleasant day, the photo was taken at 1pm but Patley Bridge (just down the road from the Menwith Hill US base) is in the bottom of a valley and was shrouded with mist. The sun got out later when I got home about 3pm wifey and I had a lovely walk which ended with a well earned pint in a local pub.

The pushbike boys are driving the locals mad where we are >:(

Endless streams of middle aged men (all in the middle of the road) wearing very tight lycra and advertising Sky TV.

Some one is gonna get hurt real soon...

Nice one guys, was posted to Catterick for a while in the Forces and stayed in a little villige Gilling West just off A66. Great location for ride-outs in the North Yorkshire dales and surrounding area.

Still snow on the hills up here but the weather is no drama with an RT..wish I had found this out twenty years ago.Doh....
