Title: Tarlac Ride
Post by: Julio A. on December 15, 2013, 04:58:17 AM
I had the chance to test the R65 after break in in a 300km or so ride to the province of Tarlac. I rode with a small local group majority of which rode R1150's and R1200 GS's. I even got the chance to lay my eyes upon one of those new water cooled models.

I was really impressed on the engine performance the R65 had on the 5,500 rpm mark. It was cruising comfortably around 115 km/h with occasional bursts of around 130 km/h. Somebody even complimented on how they were surprised the R65 with its 650cc engine was still able to do overtakes while they were running at 120 km/h. Engine was sooth as butter and it handles beautifully. I was pretty much grinning the whole time.  :)

[smiley=thumbsup.gif] Shows to go ya that it doesn't require massive injections of money to enjoy the BMW experience.
