Lou, are you referring to 191 in Arizona?

Probably some of our Arizona guys like Bob Roller have.  I believe that 191 used be called the "Devils Highway" because the original route designation was "666".  Hoodlums kept stealing the signs.

Hwy 180, originally part of US 80, begins just west of Fort Worth and runs clear across the country.  I've put many a mile on US 180 between Texas and Arizona.  It's a major route across the  Southwest but except for the the towns it's mostly empty.  And for the most part it's straighter than a preacher and longer than a bad memory.

Yes, I've been on it 46 times south bound and 39 times north bound, they are two different roads, depending on which direction you travel .

I've traveled it on the bikes oilhead and '81 R65 and with my CRX and Z3 .

The road is great, but unforgiving I would not do it in inclement weather .

There are no guard rails, only a few places, where large boulders have been placed to prevent you from going a thousand feet or (more) so to the bottom .

If someone doesn't see you go off of the road, or your vehicle doesn't catch on fire, no one is going to come looking for you .

No cell phone service for pretty much the entire  90 some mile length form Hannigan Meadow to Clifton, you are truely the master of your own destiny on this road !!!!!!
