I was thinking about that show whilst looking at the pictures!  I think that fence in the lower two shots is the first fence I've seen in England that wasn't made of piled-up rocks.

Who's Gertie?  I know who Compo Simmonite is.

I'll post some pictures just as soon as it stops raining.

Is that a different flag than the one we signed in Johnson City, TN at the '09 rally?

You mean the "pillow case" flag we had at Jefferson and the Lake O' the Pines Rally? Yep, that's a new n' different rag.

We need a flag sorta like the ABC (Airheads Beemer Club) uses. I'm thinking that may be a summer project for me. We're big. We're loud. Let's make it happen.

Crap! Did I just volunteer for this? Lenie's Summer Wheat will do that to ya.

Monte - do you mean like those smaller banners that they usually have with the grommets at each corner?

I know what you're referring to, Mike. The ABC flags, right? Grommets are simple to add. I was just thinking out loud... Thought I'd look around at what might be available.

What's the current "legality" of reproducing the BMW corporate logo without paying a licensing fee?

Anything is 'legal', until you get caught !!!! ::)

To be legal, you need permission to use their logo.  Unless they are bunch of jerks, they should give permission as it increases their visibility.  I know a lot of BMW clubs use the logo, and I have not heard of anyone being hassled about it.  They haven't given us any trouble about it appearing on website, right?

I didn’t get out on a run this weekend so to give you feel for Cheshire, England I took some pictures on the way to work this morning plus a couple from one of my pastimes which is visiting Cheshire’s old houses. They wouldn’t always let me park the bike in front of them though.

First me with the flag at 7.30 on a sunny Monday morning. I’d look more cheerful if I wasn’t going to work. (http://)

2nd is the oldest house in my village a Jacobean timber-framed building dating back to about 1448, It was originally a Priest’s House and gave it’s name to the village.(http://)

3rd is a place we had a ride out to last weekend, Little Moreton Hall a well preserved old Cheshire farm house dating from 1450 and occupied by the same family for 5 centuries(http://)

Last, a few weeks ago we visited Lyme hall just over the border in Derbyshire. I’ve included it because some of you may have seen it before as Mr Darcy’s house 'Pemberley' in the BBC production of the Jane Austen novel Pride and Prejudice.(http://)

Me too and good as the BBC effort was I still much preferred the book when I read it again recently.

Many ladies are taken with Mr Darcy's swim in the lake which is supposed to be the one in the picture but it wasn't actually filmed there. We walked past the real lake (more of a pond really) about a mile away and it was so singularly unimpressive as to be not worth a photograph. Even then it was a stunt man that dived in the pond. Colin Firth dived into a tank of clean water in a film studio.

Even though it wasn't me who took the picture that's definitely not one of my skills Lou. I'm happy just watching.

bout' the only dancing I do these days is with the bike on a nice twisty road.

Glad to see the crocheted flag I made get out and about a bit.    ;)    Yep!  That's the one I made.  This one is for going around the world.  Now just to find where it is.

Lucky Lou, can you check with Barry and see what he did with it?  Maybe it can go to someone in Australia since they are the ones having riding weather right now.   8-)

Aha!  Well, I will see what Trolle has done with it then.   We'd like to see some pictures of him with the flag somewhere there in Denmark.   8-)
