Title: Large Landmarks of Alberta, Chapter 1
Post by: 2dogs1cat on September 26, 2011, 10:43:44 PM
I had planned to post my first trip with my R65 here, but I noticed that posts are not identified in the URL address bar.  I wasn't sure how I could link the post from this site to other forums, so I'm pasting the link here:

Large Village Landmarks of Alberta, Chapter 1 (http://r65rider.tumblr.com/)

2dogs1cat asked me to edit his post and change the link.

Dino - it just occurred to me - you can always reply to this thread with another post, and that will bump it to show folks there is something new in the thread!

Thanks; yes, the original link "Large Village Landmarks of Alberta, Chapter 1" I wanted to replace with the tumblr account.

I'll keep that in mind when I post my next trip report.

Cheers

Very nice photos, could have been in Yorkshire had you not been riding on the "wrong" side of the road.

2dogs,

It looks a lovely place.

Lou,

It does look a lot like Yorkshire, weather looks a tad better...

I watch Last of the Summer Wine all the time, and it hardly ever rains in Yorkshire.  It's as green as western Oregon but without the 9 months of rain.

(I know, you get 12 instead.  But your winters are better than ours.)

Ed,

You have impeccable trust sir!

It's easy in England

Winter = cold rain
Summer = warmer rain

How difficult can it be? ::)

We can't complain so far this autumn.  Last time I used the car for work was 5th October and I've never really got wet other than a few spots.

"We can't complain so far this autumn".

But we will Barry, it will be drought warnings next and then when the rain does come, it will be the wrong kind of rain!

I spoke to a supplier of mine in Texas yesterday, he has his a/c on in the house and is worried about getting sunburnt on thanksgiving day! it just would so nice to have warmer weather when we should have it as opposed to whatever the day brings... :(

Lou,

My missus is saying the same in her garden ( I don't do much in the garden... ;D)

Whatever the weather, it don't seem to get it right!

It takes a drought to make western Oregon a half way decent place to live, in the winter anyway.  But I think my fir trees grew a couple of feet this year.
