Took advantage of some fine riding weather while i could, went out to Hardcastle Crags deep in Bronte country. I rode up from Hebden Bridge to Heptonstall, only residents are supposed to take motors of any kind into the village as its a Heritage site, but being midweek i figured i would get away with it.The Village is much as it was when Charlotte and Emily (they will have known it well) were putting pen to paper unlike Haworth which is a complete tourist rip off.
The road takes you to the Crags and onto the Widdop lakes then to the GHQ defense line at the head of the valley. Some pictures of the Crags the Line and the View from the Defence line.

Lou, once again you have captured some great footage of the old villages in your area.
Lou lucky that sheep did't jump out at you on the 2nd vid @2.26, had to go back to that spot a few times to & hit pause to see what it was.
Great stuff Lou [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Our American friends worry about Deer strikes but theres nothing more stupid than sheep, there are Deer up there but they tend to keep out of the way.I did video the run back up the road you see in the last picture but i had remounted the camera on the other side of the bike hoping to improve the quality but it made it worse im now working on camera mount v5.4.More sheep in this at .54min if it looks like im running in the gutter its the only line to see whats coming......

They may be bred that way or they have a death wish straying near busy roads.
Lucky is showing you some great English countryside!

Live and Learn ...... there was a "magazine" program on the other night chronicling the 500 year history of Hebdon bridge (built at the behest of Henry VIII ok 8th to collect taxes on the pack horse trail) it now boast the largest Lesbian community in the UK and Heptonstall is the final resting place of the famous American poet Sylvia Plath
