"Harley Orange"?
Do you mean the 'S' model with the smoke orange paint job?
If so, that is BMW "Daytona Orange".

Great pics Lucky Lou!! It's good to see Steve Hawkins there too. I haven't noticed him here much on the forum lately.
I love those videos. What a beautiful area. Everything is so green. Looks like everyone had a grand ride. Although I get a bit dizzy with everyone on the "wrong" side of the road. ;)

You would feel at home up there as most of the roads we were on didnt have a "Wrong" side .There are some interesting places up there great scenery nice pubs and if you want hustle and bustle Matlock Bath is the local biker Mecca.

Great pics & vids Lou [smiley=thumbsup.gif], looks like you had a fun day.
The very first pic is a classic pic, your R65 'looking' at his/her bigger siblings & asking "can i come over & play".

Nice pics! Also good to see that you hooked up with Steve during the ride - his orange, brush-painted R100 looks pretty good!

I am still about, lurking mostly though.
It was a nice area to ride around and we had a good guide to take us through the best roads. I do not normally like ridiing in groups, but with a knowledgeable guide and competent peers, it was a good day.
Pooh was a member of the 'gabfesters' forum and the Classic Bike Forum, members of both forum's were in attendance. Gabfesters a 'loose' BMW Forum in the UK for all riders of BMWs. We normally specify a location and all meet up there to swap bullsh*t. The point being, 'the getting there' is the ride.
The event was to celebrate the life of Pooh, who is sadly no longer with us. Pooh was diagnosed with cancer, far too late to be treated and died very suddenly. His doctor aught to be ashamed of himself, having fobbed the guy off with pain killers for 3 months before proper diagnosis - which was made by another doctor. He was dead two weeks later.
Pooh was an irreverant, straight talking kind of guy that could always be relied upon to 'tell it like it is'. He did not like the 'Safety Police' and gave them very short shrift. Some people did not like his 'take no prisoners' type of approach, the rest of us respected it. You always new where you stood. He rode a black airhead Cafe Racer with a 1050 kit called 'Wobble' and revelled in exploring the outer edge of its performance envelope. My Orange R100 is a more brightly colour 'homage' to Wobble.
We all got rather drunk on Saturday night, and drank a toast to him, some time early Sunday morning with some 'sipping whisky' that LuckyLou left us. Bad head the next day.
Cheers All
Steve Hawkins
