If you have 26 minutes to kill, check out this video of a guy's solo ride from New Mexico to Alaska and the Arctic Circle, round trip 10,000 miles! Pretty cool! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
Maybe someday.... (Oh, who am I kidding?) ;D

I had a short job in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska in the early 80's, I brought a suzuki ts125 with, When I arrived I asked a guy where was the Ocean. and he said it was straight down the road. I unloaded my bike and went to check it out. Rode 20+ miles down the road. decided that I must have missed something. went back an asked the same guy for directions to the ocean. He pointed down the road a few hundred yard to a marker and said that beyond that marker is ocean, its frozen an the road just goes out on it. I went out and road on it again but got introuble for not staying on the road. I ended up with a half dozen good Alaska stories. Seems like he figured out the trick to touring when he said he quite watching the miles and his schedule. up and back in one trip would be tough.
