More likely Justin and suraklyn!!!
(suraklyn is Justin's son and the owner of the server space and software)
All I did was notify Justin in a PM.

Absolutely amazing, one of the few admin maintenance tools actually did something useful... I was not looking forward to manually recreating the index file for this section... :P

Thank you Justin!

Thank you Justin!
Yes indeed, Justin, thank you very much!
This is where a lot of the great pics are. and it would be a real shame to lose them all.
Speaking of pics, see the next thread... :)

Was there any description, or explanation of what happened in your faults page ?
-
No errors, there aparently were some hard crashes about a month ago because I found a few core dump files but that was it. The file in question is a simple ASCII file that just associates a board entry with the author, date, e-mail, etc, and points to a file number which contains more info and IT points to another file which is the actual thread. The file was just empty so I don't know if it got clobbered and recreated when somebody did a test post or if it was there all along and just the contents went bye-bye. Since the particular section had a new post made I have no way of telling by the timestamp on the file so we'll never know!
Here is the entry for this thread:

I can do geek-speak because I used to be quite good at this sort of thing in another life...

Well, whatever you did, it worked! Hallelujah! Can I get an "Amen" on that, brothers and sisters? ::)
